With a grant from the Cornell PTA we hosted a Drag Story Hour with Ms. Wyldflower in Spring 2026

National Coming Out Day celebrations!

We’ve had a social gathering to chalk a rainbow for National Coming Out Day most years (when rain hasn’t forced us to cancel)

Albany’s Pride Rainbow for National Coming Out Day

May/June 2021 – Rainbow Crosswalks for Pride month!

With the help of many volunteers, we added rainbows to Solano, Brighton and Portland Avenues! Thank you to the Albany Community Foundation for their support which helped to purchase the chalk!

February 2021 – Albany’s Pride Books Initiative

We received a $3,000 grant from the Albany Education Foundation to purchase more than 100 books to improve representation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex and ally people (LGBTQIA) in the books housed in Albany Unified School District’s Libraries.
